Based in our Baltimore office with more than a decade of experience, Emily guides client strategy, oversees teams, and contributes to Van Eperen’s marketing and business development. She is a communications expert with a proven track record of creating and executing strategic public relations, marketing, and branding campaigns. A storyteller at heart, she enjoys interpreting complex issues for audiences that result in the understanding of and building support for clients’ priorities and mission. Emily’s expertise includes strategic counsel and media relations, social media, community relations, digital marketing, advertising and media buying, event planning and management, crisis communication, and government relations. She brings the knowledge of working for both non-profits and agencies serving clients across a wide variety of industries. A proud graduate of Appalachian State University in North Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Science in public relations and a minor in psychology, Emily currently serves on the board of directors for Public Relations Society of America, Maryland Chapter and volunteers with Thread, Inc. in Baltimore. Emily stops to smell the roses by singing along to music, cheering on the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, reading (mostly Maeve Binchy and David Sedaris), and spending time with family and friends.
