SEATTLE – Van Eperen, a PR and strategic communications agency based in Maryland, announced that the head of the firm’s Baltimore office and managing partner, Jeffrey A. Davis, APR, will facilitate a roundtable discussion at the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association’s (IBTTA) Communication and Change Management Summit in Seattle beginning on Saturday, July 28 through Tuesday, July 30.
With the use of education, advocacy and thought leadership, IBTTA’s goal is to encourage members to implement new and innovative transportation financing solutions that align with the changes and challenges faced by 21st century infrastructure.
Davis’s roundtable, “ROI on Marketing Communications—How to Measure It,” is inspired by his article “This Season Don’t Just Count the Home Runs” in which he discusses how to break up a communications program’s goal into measurable steps. The roundtable will be co-facilitated by Chris Sharman, MPA, senior vice president of Sherry Matthews Group, a marketing agency based in Austin, Texas.
“All the little successes add up in marketing,” said Davis. “Especially with today’s technology and digital tools, it’s important to know what you’re trying to accomplish and then track each step along the way.”
The IBTTA summit plans to address issues affecting the transportation industry such as: management, operations, engineering, HR, customer service, marketing, public relations and branding. The Washington State Department of Transportation is hosting the summit, along with the Women’s Transportation Seminar, an international organization whose vision is to create equal opportunity and access for women in transportation.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to host this roundtable at IBTTA’s Communication and Management Summit and look forward to an in-depth discussion about the latest in marketing communications measurement,” Davis said.
The International Bridge, Tunnel & Turnpike Association (IBTTA) is the worldwide association for the owners and operators of toll facilities and the businesses that serve them. Founded in 1932, IBTTA has members in 26 countries on six continents. Through advocacy, thought leadership and education, members are implementing state-of-the-art, innovative user-based transportation financing solutions to address the critical infrastructure challenges of the 21st Century.
