Rockville, Md. ― Van Eperen & Company, an award-winning integrated communications agency in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. region, rebranded as Van Eperen. The new brand, logo and website better reflects its full scope of PR, digital, social and creative services. The rebrand also echoes the agency’s current clientele, which include well-known national and international organizations, in addition to a variety of regional clients.
“Our agency has grown and evolved tremendously over the past couple of years,” says CEO Laura Van Eperen. “We realized our branding did not accurately represent who we are as an agency, both in terms of the types of clients we serve as well as our overall agency culture. It really hit home for me when market research showed our brand was not sending the message that we provide digital services, which couldn’t be farther from reality.”
Van Eperen began as a small local agency in 2004, serving clients in Montgomery County, Maryland. The agency quickly garnered a reputation as the “go-to” agency in the county for quality traditional public relations services, primarily media relations.
Complementing Vice President Steve Simon’s vast regional business and political connections at the state, county and local levels, Van Eperen hired Senior Vice President Karen Addis, APR, an industry PR veteran and well-known fixture in the Washington, D.C., area, to grow the agency’s base of national clients and increase its scope of services in 2013. The agency further expanded in 2014, hiring Digital Strategist Drew Blais, a Google AdWords certified professional, to manage the agency’s rapidly growing digital division.
Van Eperen is registered on the GSA schedule as an economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business (EDWOSB), securing work for large federal government agencies, such as the Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Indian Health Services (IHS) and the Department of Defense’s (DOD) U.S. Air Force. The agency is also certified as a Minority Business Enterprise/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (MBE/DBE) in Maryland, and is registered in the Montgomery County small business reserve program.
Van Eperen remains actively involved in its community. CEO Van Eperen serves on the board of directors of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and Make-a-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic. The firm also supports local organizations, such as The Arc of Montgomery County, one of the largest and oldest nonprofit organizations in Maryland that serves people with developmental disabilities. For the past two consecutive years, the agency has been a sponsor and PR partner for ADWKDC, one of the region’s largest gatherings of PR, marketing, advertising and digital professionals.
“Our strong regional relationships, combined with our ability to serve national and international clients, differentiates our agency from competitors,” says Van Eperen. “I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for us as an agency.”
