Attracting Economic Development Opportunities to a Municipality

Challenge

The Town of Poolesville is a small town in Maryland with a population of approximately 5,000 people. Wanting to place Poolesville on the map, the town hired Van Eperen to provide a variety of communications services in order to attract new businesses, developers, and residents.

Van Eperen developed a campaign to make the Town of Poolesville the ideal home for new developers and businesses. The team used a blend of marketing, graphic design, and public relations skills to not only draw attention to the town, but create unity through slogan development, brochures, videos, press releases, and event planning. In addition, Van Eperen worked to bring a grocery store to Poolesville through media placement in a grocery trade publication.
