Bolstering Public Awareness for Essential Earth and Space Science Programs

Challenge

Science research funding isn’t a red or blue issue – it’s an American issue. Facing potential Federal budget cuts, the American Geophysical Union (AGU) asked us to increase public awareness and support for essential Earth and space science research funding.

Strategy

In less than three weeks, we launched an integrated advocacy campaign explaining why #ScienceIsEssential. This included branding, web and infographic design, traditional and social media outreach, and targeted online advertising.

  • 1.6M impressions across Facebook, Twitter and Google Display Network
  • 70 participants in our Thunderclap campaign, reaching approximately 110,000 people, and were featured campaign on the Thunderclap homepage
