During the 2008 recession, the Maryland Association of Community Colleges (MACC) experienced statewide budget cuts and needed support. They enlisted our media team to increase awareness about capacity challenges and enrollment growth.
We developed a media relations campaign focused on op-eds from community college presidents, student success stories and Student Advocacy Day. We also wrote an e-newsletter, articles for a new MACC blog and took over day-to-day social media posting responsibilities.
